Supra Skytop III
I don’t know about you but i am booooooooooooooaaaard of hi tops. Maybe it is because I live in the UK and it is positively towny nowadays, but this look is getting a little old and predictable…. never the less Supra are pushing on with a niche that they have carved pretty deep for them selves and if anyone can give longevity to the hi top phenomenon then it is them!
Here’s what Supra had to say on the release: “As the third installment in Chad Muska’s groundbreaking, and now classic, line of SUPRA footwear, the SKYTOP III is being hailed as the most stylistically and technologically advanced offering in the collection thus far. The SKYTOP III continues the tradition of fusing skate with fashion, but in a slightly lower profile. The shoe features a molded TPR cage highlighted by lines that hearken back to the original SKYTOP. This version offers a modern rubber cup sole with full-length, blown EVA throughout the forefoot and heel. The skate sensitive areas are reinforced with rubber sidewalls. Inside the shoe a fully enclosed mesh booty provides breathable support and increased comfort. Lift the footbed to discover the removable EVA pod with an encapsulated air pocket that provides extra heel impact protection. The tread pattern was carefully designed to give greater flexibility and increased board feel. And, finally, in keeping with Muska tradition, there’s a stash spot behind the tongue. Or, as Chad himself simply described the SKYTOP III, “It’s part tech runner and part basketball shoe, mixed in with the lines of the original SKYTOP.” Initial offerings at launch are available in white (Gunny TUF), grey (suede), red (suede), and black (nubuck).”

Supra Muska Skytop black / croc suede
Supra Chad Muska Skytop high tops
Back to work with the blues after a scoarching back holiday? Well, here’s something to cheer you up, the new Supra skytop high top trainers from Supra footwear. These skytops feature some really nice material application utilizing the ever glamorous faux croc in black coupled with a luxurious black suede. Not an outrageous colourway for a Supra skytop or for supra that matter. however, the back to basics black upper with white vulcanized outsole caught our eye.
This skytop some how sparkled at us from the sea of colour in the rest of the supra line for this season. Maybe it’s that with all the colour around at the moment what made us sit up and take notice was this trainers modest simplicity and subtle detail. Or, maybe it was something else…. either way well done Supra footwear on yet another banging skytop colourway!
available to buy now at route one: Supra skytop black / croc suede
Supra x Deathwish skateboards – Diablo and Suprano
Also out this month is this killer collab from Supra footwear and Deathwish skateboards. Deathwish is the latest project from camp Baker where Andrew Reynolds and the crew seem to know exactly what they are doing when it comes to cross brand collaberations!
Two Supra shoes get the Deathwish treatment, the Greco suprano in not so conservative red leather and the Ellington diablo in black / white with yellow Deathwish detailing. Both shoes look great and should be with us in all good skate shops in a few weeks.
