Nike SB Stefan Janoski Mid | SS11
The Janoski Mid is Nike SB’s best selling style to date… ever! so what more to breath some like into a style once it has been wrinsed… you got it… turn it into a mid! this one looks pretty sick though and doesn’t take anything away from the original silhoutte. will the mid’s and hi’s fad ever die… not yet that is for sure. enjoy the official commercial from nike below.

MIA shop video trailer
Click on the image above to check out the trailer for the first ever MIA shop video. From the lens of reputable skate videographer Josh Stewart and featuring the usual Miami headz Forest Curby, Ed Selego, Cody Lucas, Joel Meinholz, Paul DeOliviera, Ben Gore and Brian DeLaTorre. The trailer is super slick so we should expect the completed film to be an above average shop vid.
Matix clothing launch headphones line for holiday 09
Matix clothing launch headphones range
New for holiday 09 Matix clothing announce the launch of there new headphone range. These look super nice and even though the action sports x headphone market has started to get a bit cluttered with a number of brands jumping on the headphone band wagon, we think these look really nice and have a good point of difference.
Matix clothing has been manufacturing quality skate / snowboard clothing for over a decade and with this new category for them it seems they are serious about giving the likes of WESC and Skullcandy a run for their money!
The first run of Matix headphones see’s just one style the Domepiece coming in three colours, black gold, camo and white red print. More to come in 2010…

Eric Koston is on Nike SB!
Eric Koston is on Nike SB!
So, after being in limbo for nearly two months since leaving his most recent footwear sponsor Lakai, Eric Koston has finally been announced as the latest addition to the Nike SB team. After much speculation i guess really this is, deep down, what we all expected. Hopefully we’ll see an Eric Koston Nike SB pro shoe soon.
Vans Era LX Multi colour
Vans Era LX
The Vans Era shoe was the first shoe in the Vans range to feature the off the wall logo way back in the days of pool skating and fish tail boards. The Vans Era is an update of the “Authentic” featuring a padded collar, outside heel and the Vans classic waffle sole.
The Vans Era was made legendary in the world of skate shoes by Tony Alva and the Dogtown crew, subsiquently becoming skateboarding’s first shoe back in 1976. Over 30 years on and the Era is still an iconic shoe and this LX version of the shoe adds some new depth. Cool multi coloured red, yellow and blue colour blocking mixed with different material applications really set this Vans shoe appart from all its Era brothers.
Available now for around £37.99 – Vans Era LX
Koston off Lakai
Wow, i guess all good things come to an end! Shocking but true, after 3 years Eric Koston and Lakai footwear have parted ways. No official word on which shoe brand hi will go to, we’ll keep you posted.
“Wish we could say this is a belated April Fool’s, but unfortunately that isn’t the case. As of today, Eric Koston will no longer be a part of Lakai Footwear. We have arrived at this decision mutually and believe it will ultimately create a better situation for all parties involved. We thank Eric for his contributions to Lakai over the last three years and wish him well wherever his path may lead.”
DC shoes Josh Kalis white /grey leather
DC shoes Josh Kalis white / grey leather
It doesn’t feel like a decade ago that Josh Kalis had his first pro shoe on DC shoes, but i i just realised that it pretty much is! time flies that’s for sure and DC as a once humble skate shoe brand have come along way. Producing quality skate shoes just wasn’t enough and so with the help of a mega ramp, a large wall, excellent snowboard and surf teams and the MTN LAB, they are now a house hold name.
Kalis is one of my all time favourite skateboards and still in my opion holds the title for most stylish tre flip, and that is one hell of a claim. Kalis has been with DC shoes a long time and this his 7th shoe on the brand is well deserved. The DC Kalis is featured here in white grey leather this shoe comes in around £60.00 and has all the tech features you’d expect from a DC shoe:
- Super suede, a superior version of suede that is more durable whilest maintaining grip and feel.
- Heavy duty suede upper
- soft full grain leather and full grain nubuck upper
- eyelets on medial side
- TPU eyelets
- foam padded tongue
- performance TPR wrap cupsole
- innovative DGT outsole for enhanced board control and durability
Vans x Supreme Authentic and Half cab
Due for release @ Supreme on the 19th March, here we have the latest Vans x Supreme collaberation. The are two vans styles the Vans Authentic and the classic Vans Half cab. The shoes both feature canvas uppers and leather insoles and lining. The colurways have a definite 80′s feel and we love all the colour options. Both the Vans Authentic and Half cab are available in green, red black and white with a really nice speckle texture to the upper.
Another banger from Supreme and Vans, available in store in the US from the 19th of march and in Japan later this month.
The Berrics Finals Mike Mo Vs Benny Fairfax
We’ve been following the skateboarding at the battle at the berrics with great enthusiasm over the last few months and after nearly four months, 32 skaters, 16 games of SKATE, one Legion Of Doom, and a case of the Chicken Pox the first Battle At The Berrics is finally all over. It’s like that feeling on january 2nd when you have to get up and go to work or the last night of your summer holidays and you know you have to pack for school! Having said that, what a ride, some of skateboardings finest produced some of the finest skateboarding we’ve seen since, well, since in a long time!
The final went down to Mike Mo and Benny Fairfax whilst Billy Marks and PJ Ladd battled it out for the battle of the berrics 3rd and 4th spot! On top if that there was a surprise redemption battle pitching skateboarding legends and team mates (Girl skateboards and Lakai footwear) Erik Koston and Mike Carroll. I can’t stress enough how good this competition has been for skateboarding, so much enthusiasm and such a great atmosphore. anyway, stop reading this and go out and skate…. or check out the berrics for all the action!!
