Eric Koston is on Nike SB!

So, after being in limbo for nearly two months since leaving his most recent footwear sponsor Lakai, Eric Koston has finally been announced as the latest addition to the Nike SB team. After much speculation i guess really this is, deep down, what we all expected. Hopefully we’ll see an Eric Koston Nike SB pro shoe soon.

Vans Era LX

The Vans Era shoe was the first shoe in the Vans range to feature the off the wall logo way back in the days of pool skating and fish tail boards. The Vans Era is an update of the “Authentic” featuring a padded collar, outside heel and the Vans classic waffle sole.

The Vans Era was made legendary in the world of skate shoes by Tony Alva and the Dogtown crew, subsiquently becoming skateboarding’s first shoe back in 1976. Over 30 years on and the Era is still an iconic shoe and this LX version of the shoe adds some new depth. Cool multi coloured red, yellow and blue colour blocking mixed with different material applications really set this Vans shoe appart from all its Era brothers.

DC shoes Josh Kalis white / grey leather

It doesn’t feel like a decade ago that Josh Kalis had his first pro shoe on DC shoes, but i i just realised that it pretty much is! time flies that’s for sure and DC as a once humble skate shoe brand have come along way. Producing quality skate shoes just wasn’t enough and so with the help of a mega ramp, a large wall, excellent snowboard and surf teams and the MTN LAB, they are now a house hold name.

Kalis is one of my all time favourite skateboards and still in my opion holds the title for most stylish tre flip, and that is one hell of a claim. Kalis has been with DC shoes a long time and this his 7th shoe on the brand is well deserved. The DC Kalis is featured here in white grey leather this shoe comes in around £60.00 and has all the tech features you’d expect from a DC shoe:

Osiris bronx silver / white / black skate shoe

New for spring 09, the Osiris bronx silver leather high top skate shoe. Osiris seem to have a history of stand out styles, we had the infamous Osiris D3, then years later they release the Osiris abel collaboration and now riding the wave of popularity in high tops we have the Osiris bronx skate shoe. Available in 7 colours this season and featured here in the loud but refined silver / white / black.

Other features include cupsole construction out sole, action leather / synthetic leather combo upper, exposed eva midsole and the high collar on the high tops give added ankle support. So, not only will you be ‘in’ with trend by rocking the Osiris bronx high tops but they may also help prevent every skateboarders worst nightmare, the tweaked ankle!

Due for release @ Supreme on the 19th March, here we have the latest Vans x Supreme collaberation. The are two vans styles the Vans Authentic and the classic Vans Half cab. The shoes both feature canvas uppers and leather insoles and lining. The colurways have a definite 80’s feel and we love all the colour options. Both the Vans Authentic and Half cab are available in green, red black and white with a really nice speckle texture to the upper.

Another banger from Supreme and Vans, available in store in the US from the 19th of march and in Japan later this month.

DVS Girls Gracie low white grey leather

It feels like summer is really trying hard to push spring into getting on with it now that march is in full swing. Don’t tell that to the inhabitants of south west England though they’d never believe you!

Along with spring comes the fresh product and it’s our job to keep you up to date on the hottest stuff out there! New stuff from DVS shoes drops this month into all good skate shops and footwear retailers. One hot pick is from the girls DVS shoe line, the Gracie low white grey leather. This shoe is a classic skate silhouette with grey suede and white leather material applications finished with some really cool colour blocking on the side panels.

DVS shoes and Diamond Supply Co. have developed a long-standing relationship over the years and it continues to show in the product collaboration projects between the two brands. The DVS Original Intent designers teamed up with Diamond supply co. to produce a limited collection of Diamond V.V.S. shoes, jackets, tees, and hats.

This is a super tight collaberation from the two brands and in our opinion the best one so far. Featuring the DVS dayton shoe in a black red “Gucci” colourway. DVS have used some really nice premium leathers to give the skate shoe look a real top end feel. The apparel tie in is also well put together and compliments the shoes perfectly.

These items are dropping on Saturday, February 7th at the Diamond Store on Fairfax in Los Angeles. The collection will be available worldwide next week.

Also out this month is this killer collab from Supra footwear and Deathwish skateboards. Deathwish is the latest project from camp Baker where Andrew Reynolds and the crew seem to know exactly what they are doing when it comes to cross brand collaberations!

Two Supra shoes get the Deathwish treatment, the Greco suprano in not so conservative red leather and the Ellington diablo in black / white with yellow Deathwish detailing. Both shoes look great and should be with us in all good skate shops in a few weeks.

This spring we are blessed with another top notch footwear collaboration from HUF. This special project from long time skate shoe sponsor DVS shoes is due for release February 09. It features 5 colours in the popular DVS style “Rico” which combines simple stylish design cup sole with canvas upper. All 5 colours in this shoe look good and whether you like to play it safe with the straight up black or give your feet some “pop” with the yellow or turquoise there is something to get into. DC shoes pro skateboarder Rob Dyrdek opens the doors to his Fantasy factory skate park which is due to be the feature of his new series on MTV. Skateboarders Keiran Reilly, Marquise Henry, Wes Kramer and Matt Miller had the privilage of ripping the skate park. For more info check out MTV and DC shoes.

Supra footwear’s holiday 08 range should be dropping into skate stores as we speak and it seems that they haven’t fallen of the “high top” wagon just yet! With the styling of high tops still firmly in most skate shoe brands offerings for this season, and going into spring next year, it seems clear that Supra shoes are still leading the pack! There are new colours in the Vaider and Muska Sky tops you can be sure there’ll be no shortage of 80’s influenced skate shoes for the next couple of seasons. A short time ago we brought you a sneak preview of the new converse skateboarding program. Now, here we see full official team and product on their new website converseskateboarding.com. New for holiday 08 Emerica present a collaberation with enkoi skateboards. The Jerry Hsu model features a white outsole, black suede upper and the iconic panda logo print around the collar and on the insoles. Available in all good Emerica stockists soon.

Converse seem to be the next mainstream shoe brand to enter the skate shoe arena, following in the footsteps of Nike, Adidas and RBK. These are set to debut at In4mation and then rolling out to selected skate stores world wide. Featured is the Pro Ox, Cons low-cut, premium white leather shredder. There’s no doubt it’s a clean looking shoe and expect more colourways in to emerge in the coming months. At this rate Timberland will be making skate shoes by Christmas!
