The Berrics Finals Mike Mo Vs Benny Fairfax
We’ve been following the skateboarding at the battle at the berrics with great enthusiasm over the last few months and after nearly four months, 32 skaters, 16 games of SKATE, one Legion Of Doom, and a case of the Chicken Pox the first Battle At The Berrics is finally all over. It’s like that feeling on january 2nd when you have to get up and go to work or the last night of your summer holidays and you know you have to pack for school! Having said that, what a ride, some of skateboardings finest produced some of the finest skateboarding we’ve seen since, well, since in a long time!
The final went down to Mike Mo and Benny Fairfax whilst Billy Marks and PJ Ladd battled it out for the battle of the berrics 3rd and 4th spot! On top if that there was a surprise redemption battle pitching skateboarding legends and team mates (Girl skateboards and Lakai footwear) Erik Koston and Mike Carroll. I can’t stress enough how good this competition has been for skateboarding, so much enthusiasm and such a great atmosphore. anyway, stop reading this and go out and skate…. or check out the berrics for all the action!!

Lakai 10 year Anniversary pack
As the years pass they seem to get shorter and shorter, 2008 being no exception, has seemingly flown by. As we wind 2008 to a close, we look forward into next year with mixed emotions what with world economies crumbling and war breaking out (again!) in the middle east. There is, however lots of great stuff in store for us as we enter the 9th ear of the 21st century so chin up…
One significant milestone is Lakai Footwear celebrating their 10 year anniversary, and to mark this achievement they have release 3 limited edition shoes, which together make up the “Lakai anniversary pack”. With both company founders Mike Carroll and Rick Howard still showing the kids how it’s done it makes perfect sense that the Howard and Carroll select styles are given the anniversary treatment. Also, to complete this limited edition pack they have resurrected the Staple, which if you are old enough to remember, then you’ll know it’s a welcome return to the Lakai footwear offering! Available in all good skate shops in the new year get your self a pair and pay homage to one of the most progressive skate shoe companies out there!
