DC shoes Josh Kalis white / grey leather

It doesn’t feel like a decade ago that Josh Kalis had his first pro shoe on DC shoes, but i i just realised that it pretty much is! time flies that’s for sure and DC as a once humble skate shoe brand have come along way. Producing quality skate shoes just wasn’t enough and so with the help of a mega ramp, a large wall, excellent snowboard and surf teams and the MTN LAB, they are now a house hold name.

Kalis is one of my all time favourite skateboards and still in my opion holds the title for most stylish tre flip, and that is one hell of a claim. Kalis has been with DC shoes a long time and this his 7th shoe on the brand is well deserved. The DC Kalis is featured here in white grey leather this shoe comes in around £60.00 and has all the tech features you’d expect from a DC shoe:

  • Super suede, a superior version of suede that is more durable whilest maintaining grip and feel.
  • Heavy duty suede upper
  • soft full grain leather and full grain nubuck upper
  • eyelets on medial side
  • TPU eyelets
  • foam padded tongue
  • performance TPR wrap cupsole
  • innovative DGT outsole for enhanced board control and durability

DC shoes – Bruce irons signature sandal

New for spring 2009 DC shoes unveil the Bruce Irons signature sandal! Bruce Irons is the first pro surfer on DC to get a signature sandal and according to DC it was “built from the ground up specifically for bruce”. Being the longest standing surf pro on DC shoes bruce irons is definitely the right choice for DC’s first pro sandal. The sandal features a tough rubber outsole with stamp hawaiian islands graphic on the bottom. Also, the foot bed is anatomically correct to fit your foot better and wear more comfortably. Available in three colours black, grey and brown, and should be hitting all good board sports shops this spring!

Danny Way breaks spine on Megaramp

DC shoes and Plan B pro Danny Way has, over his long career as a professional skateboarder, blessed us with some of the most mind bending progression skateboarding has ever seen. He jumps out of a helicopter into a vert ramp with a torn shoulder, he jumps the great wall of china with a busted ankle… on a skateboard for gods sake!

So, considering the risks involved, it’s inevitable that he is wide open to injury and Danny has with out a doubt had his fair share! Sadly though he has another tally on the chalkboard this week at the Oi! Megarampa contest in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Danny suffered a fall that left him with 2 broken vertebrae. however, after less than a week in hospital Danny is out and on the road to recovery… get well soon Mr “i’m definitely not some kind of super human” Way!

2nd. Jake Brown
3rd. Andy MacDonald
4th. Buster Halterman
5th. Rob Lorifice
6th. Adam Taylor

DC Snowboards collection 08/09

DC shoes have been heavily involved in the snowboard industry for years now. Boasting an amazing team, the infamous mountain lab films, boot and tech outerwear lines the have been doing a pretty good job. But for this winter they have made that big step into the board market. How much of the extremely competative market they will manage to grab is yet to be seen, but judging by their track record Burton watch out! more –> DC Shoes
