Supra have definitely set the bar high of inovation in the last few years since it’s inception. As far as skateboard footwear goes Supra is with out debt the most off the wall skate shoe brand out there. now, with release of Supra’s spring 09 NS collections we see bounds being pushed even further.

With the use of different material applications and styling there isn’t a skate shoe brand out there that can touch Supra in terms of originality and offering something just that little bit different!

Tension has been mounting over at the berrics as we get closure to the final. There have been some surprise upsets of the past few weeks that’s for sure. Koston out, Berra and MJ postponed week after week, our nerves can’t take much more S.K.A.T.E!

DC shoe co have been heavily involved in snowboarding for years now, so it was inevitable that with the success of DC shoes’ Snow boot and outer wear lines and not to meantion the infamous DC Mountain Lab DVD’s, that DC would eventually launch DC snowboards. This winter saw the release of their first season to limited stockists world wide, compramising of 4 different models the HKD, MLF, XFB, and PJB with Devun Walsh and Ikka Backstrom pro models. Another spring 09 season is here and there is so much exciting stuff out there this year! February see’s the release of the Vans Vault “Bad Brains” colourway. The Vans Chukka boot comes in canvas and rasta vulc with the Bad Brains logo on the sole. the super subtle but effective “rasta” colour detail really lifts the pop appeal of the shoe whilst not over doing it. We really like this one as it gives us visions of long summer days that are not so far away from all who reside in the northern hemisphere!! Go here to buy Vans products.

Fallen Rival SL Haiti edition

In this capitalist world of profit margins, sales growth and the constant need to see higher revenues, the incidence of charitable gestures is often low. However, skateboarding is a unique entity, even with the corporate pressures of publicly owned companies, our industry still thrives and is built on the rider owned independents that do things the way they should be done! Fallen footwear is no exception to this…

This spring Fallen sees the release of the Fallen Rival SL Haiti edition skate shoe. For every pair of these sold Fallen will donate $5 to help provide education, clothing and much needed medical care to the less fortunate people of Haiti.

Haiti has historically been poverty stricken due to a variety of reasons including historical factors such as war and war debt, occupations and dictatorships, isolation and racism that are still impacting Haiti today along with current economic and environmental factors such as international aid sanctions, internal political conflict, deforestation that leads to soil erosion and flooding, hurricanes, etc.

The average Haitian earns less than $1 a day, and there have been estimates that 1 percent of the country’s 8.1 million people controls nearly half its wealth (Mozingo). More than half of Haitians eight million people lack access to clean water or sanitation.

Here we are again, another late post, i know what you’re thinking, but, we’ve been busy… honest!! Actually we have, by the end of the month the XUMBRELLA price comparison engine should be completely refreshed offering you thousands more price comparisons on any action sports product you can think of!

Anyway, February saw the release of 6 new colourways from Nike SB. This months colourways include a Nike dunk low premium with colours by Nick Halkias, a Nike dunk mid premium with colours by LZ, Nike Zoom Air harbor in black/sunset, Nike blazer low premium in varsity red, Zoom tre in old royal and Zoom air Paul Rodriguez 2 in a really cool grey and zest colourway.

The dunk mid exibits some very current plaid details whilst the paul rodriguez 2 colourway is definitely a sign of things to come with bright over the top 80’s inspired colours. Available in all good skate shops now…

DVS shoes and Diamond Supply Co. have developed a long-standing relationship over the years and it continues to show in the product collaboration projects between the two brands. The DVS Original Intent designers teamed up with Diamond supply co. to produce a limited collection of Diamond V.V.S. shoes, jackets, tees, and hats.

This is a super tight collaberation from the two brands and in our opinion the best one so far. Featuring the DVS dayton shoe in a black red “Gucci” colourway. DVS have used some really nice premium leathers to give the skate shoe look a real top end feel. The apparel tie in is also well put together and compliments the shoes perfectly.

These items are dropping on Saturday, February 7th at the Diamond Store on Fairfax in Los Angeles. The collection will be available worldwide next week.

This is the best thing I’ve seen in a long time… let’s face it, when footballers are buying banksy prints and apparel and footwear collaborations are so old news you feel like you’re in the 1920’s you just have to look for something else. however, just when you thought that street art had gone stale, something fresh appears. not that this is new, but it’s the first time we’ve seen some good coverage on it so thought we’d share the love.

CPH Pro contest To Take Place June 26, 27, And 28

For the third consecutive year, DVS Shoes and the Copenhagen Skatepark have teamed up to produce one of Europe’s fastest growing skateboard contest events—the CPH Pro. Boasting one of the largest prize purses in Europes skateboard contest circuit, this year’s contest is set to take place on June 26, 27, and 28.

Once again the best pro skateboarders from around the world will converge on Copenhagen, Denmark for a weekend of heated pro competition on an all new course—great food, free beer, and tons of good times. Last years CPH pro skate contest went off so save the date and book your flights!!
