Supra footwear’s holiday 08 range should be dropping into skate stores as we speak and it seems that they haven’t fallen of the “high top” wagon just yet! With the styling of high tops still firmly in most skate shoe brands offerings for this season, and going into spring next year, it seems clear that Supra shoes are still leading the pack! Road trip’s are the funnest times, especially when in a stinking car with your friends on a skate mission to hicksville! To slide in between the Artifact 1985 and the Notch 1985, Rome unveils the reverse-camber Postermania 1985 snowboard. While the Artifact 1985 snowboard is dialed in for late night rail sessions and the Notch 1985 prefers tree lines and pow-filled gullies, the Postermania for riders who like to shred jumps, powder lines, rails and ledges. With Rome’s Reverse-Free camber line tuned for a pure freestyle approach to the mountain and snow park, this profile also gives the snowboard a natural de-cambered shape when up on edge for better edge hold and control through a turn. It also lets the rider generate more edge pressure in the tip and tail for stronger turn initiation and completion.

Created for snowboards who value first chair on a pow day, who ride inbounds with power, and who are down to hike for untracked chutes, the other limited edition deck in the collection is the high-tech Anthem Superlight Series (SS). Loaded with innovations like the Airpop Core, the bamboo-driven PowerAmp Technology, and the CarbonBiax Alloy Laminate, the Anthem SS is a super-poppy, kill-it-all model that rivals the Rome Design for lightness. Rome’s new Hybrid camber profile combines the pop of camber for most of the body of the board, with the added float of reverse camber in the nose and tail.

DC shoes and Plan B pro Danny Way has, over his long career as a professional skateboarder, blessed us with some of the most mind bending progression skateboarding has ever seen. He jumps out of a helicopter into a vert ramp with a torn shoulder, he jumps the great wall of china with a busted ankle… on a skateboard for gods sake!

So, considering the risks involved, it’s inevitable that he is wide open to injury and Danny has with out a doubt had his fair share! Sadly though he has another tally on the chalkboard this week at the Oi! Megarampa contest in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Danny suffered a fall that left him with 2 broken vertebrae. however, after less than a week in hospital Danny is out and on the road to recovery… get well soon Mr “i’m definitely not some kind of super human” Way!

November 11, 2008, blue skies and two thousand happy fans greeted 18 starters for the super-final at Atomic Superpark Dachstein. The level of riding was technical and extremely high. Wiig who barely made November 10th’s cut was predicted a favorite to win. His second run: switch bs9, fs10, bs rodeo9 allowed him to do just that and take first rank!

It seems the girl family have done well in this edition of transworlds highly respected exposure meter. Top spot for MJ second for Malto and 5th for Guy, that’s some serious coverage for their brands which include, Lakai, Girl, Chocolate, Royal, Fourstar, Skate Mental and Ruby. Lets not forget the acheivements of Silas Baxter Neil who’s thrasher cover and interview push him up to 3rd and Johnny Layton at 4.

DVS Shoe Company is happy to announce that they have re-signed Granger Larsen to a new contract, his first as a professional, through 2011. Larsen was one of the hottest amateur prospects coming out of America the last few years and it was never more evident than his performance and domination at the 2008 NSSA Nationals. From Lower Trestles, Granger headed straight to J-Bay, South Africa for his first taste of the WCT in the Billabong Pro. Granger advanced through the trials and into the main event, eventually finishing =33rd to 3X World Champ, Andy Irons. More –> DVS Surf
